Junior Engineer – Process Engineering / Chemical Engineering
Role:
As a Junior Engineer, you will support the process engineering team in the design, specification, and documentation of industrial process plants. You will gain hands-on experience in detail engineering, including piping design, and contribute to the development of modern production systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and mass/energy balances
- Support the design of unit operations:
- Mixing, wet milling, spray drying, rotary kiln, dry milling
- Contribute to piping design:
- Line list preparation, pipe routing concepts, support coordination, and isometric drawings
- Prepare and maintain equipment datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with senior engineers on equipment sizing, material selection, and process optimization
- Participate in HAZOP reviews, safety assessments, and regulatory documentation
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial process design or plant engineering
- Familiarity with:
- CADISON (preferred)
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- COMOS
- AVEVA PDMS / E3D
- AspenTech / Aspen Plus
- Basic understanding of piping systems and process equipment
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
