Role:

As a component manager, you will assume technical and organisational responsibility for the development and integration of vehicle components. You will be the central interface between development, project management, suppliers and related departments. 

Responsibilities:

• Planning, managing and implementing component development in accordance with project objectives
• Creating and maintaining specifications, requirements documents and approval documents
• Coordinating suppliers and internal interfaces regarding technical implementation, scheduling and change management
• Performing and documenting calculations, tests and validations
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams and technical committees
• Tracking measures, risks and change requests
• Assisting in the creation of test plans and project completion reports
• Responsibility for achieving targets in terms of function, costs, quality, weight, sustainability and deadlines
• Representing the component in project committees and internal and external partners
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and technical standards
• Escalation authority in the event of target deviations or supplier problems
• Documentation and communication of project status  
   

Skills and experience:

• In-depth technical understanding of vehicle components and their integration
• Experience in the application of development and project management processes
• Strong communication and moderation skills in interdisciplinary teams
• Decision-making skills regarding technical specifications, changes and resource utilisation
• Knowledge of requirements management, change management and test management
