DevOps Support Engineer – Production IT & Applications (Level 2/3)

Role:

As a DevOps Support Engineer (Level 2/3), you will be part of a dedicated IT team ensuring the smooth operation of our production-related IT systems. You will support users with technical inquiries, analyze incidents, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our support processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and document incidents and service requests related to Production IT & Applications  Level 2/3 (e.g. MES, SAP EWM)
  • Analyze, classify, and escalate issues
  • Assist in identifying and resolving problems in close collaboration with business units
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles for end users and IT colleagues
  • Monitor system health and events using tools like Grafana or Prometheus
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and system landscapes
     

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or managing production-related IT systems
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, Java, or C#)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach
  • Fluent in German (mandatory), good command of English is a plus

 

Good to have additional competencies:

  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., CI/CD, Ansible, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps)
  • Knowledge of software testing
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana)
