Coordinator/Senior Engineer – Process Engineering / Chemical Engineering
Role:
As a Senior Engineer, you will take technical ownership of process engineering projects in the field of industrial plant design. You will contribute your expertise across all phases of detail engineering, including piping design, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable production solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute detail engineering, including:
- Development of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances
- Definition of process sequences, operating conditions, and control strategies
- Design and integration of unit operations:
- Mixing, wet milling, spray drying, rotary kiln, dry milling
- Piping design and layout:
- Pipe class definition, line list creation, routing concepts, support planning, and isometric generation
- Coordination with layout and mechanical teams for 3D modeling
- Equipment specification and sizing:
- Reactors, agitators, pumps, heat exchangers, filters, dryers, mills
- Preparation of technical documentation:
- Process descriptions, datasheets, equipment specifications, operating manuals
- Support in HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Technical support during installation, commissioning, and performance testing
Skills and experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Process Engineering, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in industrial plant engineering, including piping design
- Proficiency in CADISON and familiarity with piping and process engineering tools such as:
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- COMOS
- EPLAN
- AVEVA PDMS / E3D
- AspenTech / Aspen Plus
- Strong understanding of German and international engineering standards
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
