Experience:

9+ years total experience, with strong, recent Azure architecture ownership and migration delivery experience.

Role:

We are looking for an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to design and guide the migration of on-premises applications to Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on defining migration patterns, implementing architecture as code, and providing clear, executable architecture guidance for delivery teams.

This is a hands-on architecture role with direct involvement in migration design and execution, not a conceptual or advisory-only position.

Key Areas of Focus

On-Premises to Azure Migration

• Define and standardize migration patterns for moving on-premises applications to Azure
• Analyze existing on-premises architectures and map them to Azure target architectures
• Support migration planning and execution activities through clear architectural guidance

Architecture as Code & Infrastructure as Code

• Implement and maintain IaC using Terraform for Azure environments
• Ensure IaC is reusable, version-controlled, and aligned with migration patterns
• Integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines for repeatable and reliable deployments

Azure Architecture & Platform Design

• Design target Azure architectures using appropriate Azure Cloud Services
• Ensure architecture meets enterprise requirements for security, scalability, and availability
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints to be used across migration projects

Architecture Standards & Documentation

• Create clear architecture blueprints, patterns, and reference designs
• Document architectures, migration approaches, and decisions in Confluence
• Work within Agile delivery frameworks and align architectural work with sprint planning

Collaboration & Delivery Support

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and platform teams during migration projects
• Track and manage architecture tasks using JIRA and Agile Hive
• Provide ongoing architectural support during implementation and migration phases

Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of experience in solution or cloud architecture roles
• Extensive knowledge of on-premises application and infrastructure architectures
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Strong experience integrating IaC with CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience developing migration patterns and architecture blueprint
