Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with expertise in Operation Technology (PLC / HMI / SCADA) along with Information Technology MES in the industrial domain.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Architecture in developing MES system & Managing Smart factory applications throughout the project life cycle
• PLC & IPC integration with MES and MQTT brokers using Kepware Server
• Ensure smooth integration and compatibility between OT and IT Layer application
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address application requirements and design improvements
• Handle bug fixes, performance enhancements, and contribute to long-term stability of the product.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Review and optimize legacy code where necessary while preserving functionality
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to the overall improvement of the development process
   

Skills and experience:

• Education: Successfully completed university degree in Electrical / Electronic / Computer science or comparable
• Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in PLC / SCADA / HMI & MES application and industrial networking using OPC, Modbus, serial, MQTT
• Proficiency: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices and OPC UA protocol
• Languages: Proficiency in English is required
• Problem-solving: Ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues within complex, legacy systems
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on collaborating effectively across cross-functional and global teams, especially when working with legacy code

Good to have additional competencies:

• German language skills are desirable
• Hand-on experience in any SCADA and MES tool like Ignition
• Expertise in developing script library based reusable python code
• Interfacing with various PLC, DCS, field devices using OPC, Modbus, serial, MQTT etc
